Rough idling

Change your thermostat,The car is probaly over heating. You keep on driveing it when it does that. You will do serious damage to your engine. Is the check engine light on? Allso any other warniing light. While the car is in operation. Is there guages in the car? If there is keep a eye on your temperture gage if it is going into the hot zone, If it is your vehicle is over heating.

There is no heat in my car, it keeps over heating

Check the system for an air bubble.

Start the car cold with the radiator cap off. Let the car come to temperture and squeeze the upper radiator hose and see if you can work out any trapped air.

You may have gotten the wrong stat too. It happens.
You may want to pull it and test it out of the car to be sure it opens at the right temperture.

Temperture Gage

First of all, it doesn't sound like your thermostat is working correctly to keep good hot/warm air coming , so I would change that, or have it changed for better heating inside. If you lift the hood & look in front of your radiator, On the engine side, you'll see a fan attached to, or in front of the radiator. It won't come on until the coolant temperature gauge gets up to proper operating temperature. Without getting in to too much detail, have your thermostat changed, and my guess is everything else will start working as it should, and whoever does the work, should know enough to check the fan operation when they do the thermostat.
