Check with FIAT service centre but I suspect that it is the immobiliser and alarm arming themselves after the key has been removed and the noise is to let you know that the process is happening
Hi, Sounds like the immobiliser isn't de-activating. The system will prime when the ignition is turned on and the car will start but then the immobiliser will cut the fuel after 2-3 seconds. Are there any warning lights or led lights staying on. If you have a spare key and haven't tried it then start there first. If you do and neither key works then it could be a number of things including the pick up ring around the ignition barrel but you would need to get the car checked out proffesionally before you start replacing parts. Good luck, Jon.
Hi there: A yellow warning light comes on (Headlight Warning) when it detects a blown bulb; the same warning light comes on when you switch on the ignition, the light should go out when you apply the brakes. If it stays on it has detected a blown bulb.
Check the wires that are going to the brake pad sensors. Some shops will install pads that don't have the sensor connections on them, causing this light to stay lit.
To stop the service interval warning and sound coming on please follow the following steps.
1. insert key into ignition.
2. using right hand press and hold the odometer reset stalk.
3 using your left hand turn on the ignition ( dont start the Car)
4 now use your left hand to press the clock adjust stalk and turnit to the left. ( just advance the time by 1 minute)
5 release both stalks and then turn ignition off , then on again and your service warnig light and sound will now not appear for the next 5000 miles. ( repeat the above when it comes on again)
This will also save you £30.00 for the garage to do it.
