I assume they are manual locking hubs? Once you engage the hubs and select 4WD you must reverse a few meters and you will hear them click into place, If they don't lock in your hubs may need servicing, They are quite easy to dismantle and re-grease which you can do yourself if you are handy with mechanical buts and pieces.
Have a look under the front of the transmission column/dash near the pedals. theyre usually there, tucked behind the trim. Not attached to anything, just on the end of wires. And you usually need a Tech-II diagnostics machine for any Isuzu kit, as even the likes of Snap-on won't read it. :(
not transfer case motor....there is none on a rodeo....trooper has torque on demand.....rodeo problem is likely shift on fly mtr...mounted on front axle....if u dont use 4wd regularly it sticks and gets stuck.
sometimes they are very hard to get out . it will need a large prey bar not a large screwdriver . it will take a little force between axle & trans mabe hammer to smack axle free. you will have to remove the outer caliper, rotor, spindle and bottom ball joint suspension befor e step one
