Remove the transmission pan - some don't have drain plugs, have a big pan underneath to catch the fluid. Pull filter and install filter on. Clean any debris from pan. Install gasket onto pan and install pan back onto transmission. Torque bolts to factory specs. Fill with approved ATF.

there is a fluid check level screw in the transmission pan underneath the vehicle you would loosen that screw and fill until fluid leaks out of said hole.

On a 4 Cyl 2007 Pontiac G6, the transmission uses Dexron VI.

Dexron VI in your transmission if you have a 4 cyl engine in your 2007 Pontiac G6.

Have the transmission flushed and see if that cures the problem

You can add transmission fluid to you transmission through the transmission fluid dipstick tube. Take your time and use the right size funnel, check and dubble check to make sure you don not over fill. Over filling the transmission is just as bad as not haveing enough fluid too.

The trannsmission is a sealed unit and there is no dipstick. Check to see if you have a leak. More than likely it sounds like your low on fluid at least a 1/2 to a whole quart. Since these are sealed units it should be taken to the dealership to have looked at. If there is not any leaks then I would add 1/2 qt of tranny fluid and try driving so see if it helped. If it helped a little but the same problems are still there add another 1/2 qt. If it doesnt solve the problem then your tranny needs to be looked at.
