I have a 1990 Celica, trying to put in new radio. Got everything wired up correctly, Constant - blue/yellow, acc - gray, ground - brown and it won't come on. Radio fuse (top center 15 amp) is good,...

You have it right. Use a 12 volt test light to see if there is power between the gray and brown wires when the key is on. If there is power there, you may have got hold of a bad radio.

1992 celica auto-antenna: motor runs but antenna will not go down. Cleaned it with WD-40. No help.

U could buy a new antennae rod only and replace the broken one!

The plastic rod gear that dirves the rod up & down is alread broken thats why it doesnt work anymore.

It is cheaper to replace the rod only!

I have a 1990 toyota celica gts 2200 motor I have changed the wiring harness caujse it was burnt and after replacing it wouldn't idle so we replaced the computer still the same so replaced the tbi and...

If you replaced the whole engine wire harness, make sure all connectors are hooked up , if they ok ,check MAP sensor and temp. sensor .it might be your problem. If possible swap them with known good used ones, or just try to disconnect it and see if it runs any better.

1990 Toyota Celica will not start.

Sounds like the connection from the battery to the chassis ground is bad. Try replacing the Negative battery wire and make sure where it attaches to the frame is as rust free as possible

Power antenna slippage...

This is not a screw correcting problem. The antenna rod is connected to the motor by a rubber-like chain pully. The more you use the more it weakens which means it is designed to spoil.

You have to change it (the antenna). It would not cost much because its about $10 in my country Nigerria.

Electric Radio Antenna on 1994 Toyota Celica

Reverse the wires, one is hot going up and the other hot going down, the easiest way to deal with this is to just reverse them.

AFTERMARKET REPLACEMENT FOR AUTO ANTENNA

sounds simple
placement of antenna is important this will determine which wires to use
most antenas are in the trunk of vehicle with a wire clip to connect or disconnect
tools needed
test light
find your wire clip running from old antena this will be where test light will be used one side of clip is full powered the other is key powered find good ground tip the test light on first prong light stays on this is full power other will be key powered

now your looking for the simple color wires ok on the back of your sterio there is an atenna wire which is blue this will power on only when sterio is on the other wire
you use test light to find without key in take your test light and find a permannent powered full on wire hot supply then connect antenna into these 2 things

at top the reason i mentioned this is cause the old power antena you can find the right leads in the trunk area where new antenna going to be placed with the test light you might need a second person to help you testing wires you in the back and them in the front turning the key on when you need it it makes things simpler with 2 people
i hope this helped you in your quest for knowledge
