when the 4WD light comes on you more likely have problems in the 4WD low switch circuit.well this is a dealership fix.because your 4WD is pcm controlled.when 4WD light turn on pcm detected the transfer case ratio was 0.8 - 1.2 or during condition 2 with the 4WD low switch not in 4WD low, transfer case in 4WD low,tcc commanded on, tcc slip speed from 100 to 3000 rpm, the pcm detected the transfer case ratio was 2.5 - 2.9 all conditions met for 10 seconds.see dealership has to check.many things will cause your 4WD light to turn on.dealership has to hook up diagnostic equipment to find your problem and fix it.hate to tell you.they will charge $100.00 or more to trouble shoot.then charge for labor and new part.call around and get a price check.it will be good if your vechicle has a extended warranty.

I Had this same problem a while ago. the 4WD setup in the cars computer is set to send out this service light after so long. what i did to solve the problem was, I Pulled the fuse to the 4WD system. than i ran the car for 5 to 10 min's and than replaced the fuse. it reset the computer and turned off the light. another thing you could do is rent a automotive computer diagnostic code reader and remove all error codes which would also turn off the light

If you had the switch and encoder motor replaced 5 months ago, then you have warranty. You need to return to the dealer and have them pull codes to see if it is the C0327 again. Some of these trucks also had grounding issues for the 4wd module. If it is the same c0327 code stay on them and make them confirm their original diagnosis.

I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer LT 4.2 l w/ approx 85000 miles on it and I left key in car after rolling down windows for about 2 hours drainging battery. After charging battery and running car for a little bit the service 4 wheel drive light came on. I have had no problems with the truck and I am wondering if it is because the battery was drained and the computer needs to be reset or something?
