When i turn the ignition, there is a click and nothing else. battery has enough power to start car. car is 1993 jeep cherokee country. if it is the starter, where could i find that on my car? thank you.

Check the ignition coil harness you may have a bad connection.When you turn the key on the relay ASD should click without the ASD relay operation expect no power to coil and even no fuel pump. Do this turn the key on and cycle the switch you should hear the fuel pump activate. If you dont check the fuse.For the coil to have no power you may have bad connection on the harness or connection.Go to the ignition coil on the B+ that is battery power apply battery power and see it it starts. If it doesnt you will need to inspect ignition control module

check the connections between the starter, battery and ignition. if all are fine replace the ignition switch

try putting it in neutral & see if will start,,if not,,find starter & tap on the bottom case of it then try it again,,if still nothing,,if u have not done this before,,get a haynes repair book for your jeep,,it will help u,,

If it won't turn the motor over it's probably the starter motor or battery Also check lead connections are clean and tight

Well it sounds to me like you have a bad connection either at the battery "remove the cable ends from the battery and clean them" or the engine ground is loose. that iswhere i would star...hope this helps.

Check the starter seolonoid, sometimes it clicks that way indicating worn contacts. Have it replace.

Sounds like ignition switch problem.

Your ignition switch is probably bad. Pull one from the junkyard to save money and you will be up in no time.
