Have to check and see if there is still fuel getting to it, really sounds like the crank sensor, it always acts that way.... See if your getting fuel and spark after it shuts off, should be able to hear the fuel pump buzzing even if it wont start. if no spark replace crank sensor.....

Fuel Pressure regulator ..maybe

Turn the Key to the 'ON' position, the fuel pump should run for about 1 second. listen for it. Do this a few times without trying to start the car. This should pressurize the system. now try starting the car. There may be air in the system from changing the filter.

If the pump continued to run after shutting off the car you fuel pump relay was probably staying latched. I would replace the relay as well based on your info. Along with the pump the fuel filter should be replaced too and fuel pressure should be checked. Make sure your ground is good also.

Losing power to the fuel pump

well that sounds like a relay. if your car is an automatic, double check than you replaced the ASD and fuel pump relays and not the trans control relay.
if its not the relay, its probably the ECU(PCM).
