How do you take passenger door panel off to access speaker on a 01 Saturn L series

open passenger door wide, on the end of dash there is a cover which can be removed to access fuses, if not on passenger side try drivers side. if you go to the link, it is #4 cover you remove.

Hello: Open hood, on driver side there is a fuse box, remove the cover and check the fuse, if fuse is open, replace it. If you used a device in the lighter receptacle that may have caused the fuse to open.

Section 01-09: Mirrors, Rear View 1999 Taurus/Sable Workshop Manual REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Procedure revision date: 06/25/1998 Mirror, Power-Outside Rear View Removal

1. Disconnect battery ground cable (14301).
   

1. Remove front door trim panel (23942). Refer to Section 01-05.
   

1. Remove radio speaker grille from cover assembly by squeezing or pinching between thumb and index finger.
   

1. Remove two screws from cover assembly.
   

1. Disconnect outside rearview mirror wiring connector (C515-LH; C615-RH). Remove wiring guides as necessary.
   

1. Remove three outside rear view mirror retaining nuts. Remove outside rear view mirror (17682) while guiding wiring and connector through hole in door.

Trim Panel, Door Front
Removal

1. Remove cover behind inside door handle.
   

1. Remove screw from bottom of pull cup retaining front door trim panel to front door (20124).
   

1. Remove three screws retaining front door trim panel to front door.
   

1. NOTE: Do not attempt to remove more than one pushpin at a time.
   
   Using Rotunda Windshield and Molding Trim Removal Kit 107-R0401 or equivalent, remove the door trim panel by pulling one door trim panel pushpin at a time from the inner door skin.
   

1. Disconnect electrical connectors as necessary. Refer to Section 01-14A.
   

Installation

1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
   

1. Replace all pushpins with new pushpins (N808994-S).
   

Front Door Trim Panel

According to our database, here are the speakers types that go in your SATURN L SERIES 2001 car, along with their location:

• Front: 6-1/2"
• Rear: 5-1/4"
• Front door: 6-1/2"
• Back door: 5-1/4"

Look on ebay, or craiglist, or find a junkyard with the same color panel, probably 01-04 L panel is the same. Not a lot of white saturns around so you may have to have one painted. There are videos over on youtube showing how to remove a saturn door panel. If you have to have panel painted might as well let the body man install it for you.

in a saturn its more likely all speakers are bad ,than the radio,ive never had a saturn radio have that issue and it be the radio its the speakers,seen it before,,,,1 goes and they dont fix it then another and another,,,,try 1 speaker and see if you got noise

under the glove box, you'll set a panel with 2 plastic pressure pins. using a pair of pliers, just pull from the center and remove both of them. the entire panel will be free, and the fuse block is on the far right side, (closest to the passenger door) you'll need a good light and small hands....the engineers did NOT give you a lot of room in there!

you would first have to make sure it is switch.Motors and regulators go out often. Does the drivers door switch operate passenger side ok? Can you hear any noise when switch is is up or down position?You would want to make sure all of this first. Door panel controls are easy to replace but you really want to remove panel and make sure you have good motor and window regulator.

The speaker should be removed from the trunk. You shouldn't have to remove it from the back seat. There is probably just a couple of clips or screws that hold them in

The front door trim panels have to be removed.Not too bad about 4 screws,power lock switch,door pull handle.Pins after all screws out pull from bottom.hope this helps
