Have you checked the system for trouble codes ?

code p1148 refers to closed loop control-bank 1-inoperative===causes--wiring--HO2S front--ECM

Check the wiring is in good condition, replace the HO2S sensor.

first have you checked the fluid level? are there any codes? does the transmission shift good in other gears?

4N = Nissan.

Last 6 digits are sequential VIN number.

middle stuff is restraints types, engine, assy plant, etc.

it is under the lower intake manifold.

press permanent code from card in owner manual packet, then press #1, then press your 5 digit code, then press #1 again. It should set. Instr. in owner manual

yes, the permanent code is on the plastic card in your owner manual packet. You have to enter it, then press 1, then enter your 5 digit code, then hit 1 again. your owner manual will explain too.

The service engine light on is not a big deal. you just aren't meeting emissions right now.

Go to Autozone and have them run a free scan to get fault codes.

Just remember this - do not ever change the knock sensor even if it gives a fault code. It is in the middle of the engine and a waste of $600 for no improvement. It will never affect your engine performance, good or bad.
