Question about 1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue
You may need to hook it up to a scanner, and check for fault codes. this could lead you in the right direction. maf sensor fault or ambient air temp fault etc. thats where i would start if the engine light is on which it should be there will be some type of fault code, I would say either maf sensor or fuel pump.
next visually check connections and wiring at said faulty sensor, broken rubbed through wires and moisture may cause problems but usually it s the sensor. unfortunely.
if this does not correct the problem may need to take it to a garage
