Where is the starter located on a 1994 Chevrolet Caprice?

to instal the distributor you need to have number one cylinder on top dead center . on compression stroke. Then when you put the distributor in. and you need the rotor pointing at number one spark plug wire.. Drop it in and it will turn it might turn too much when you drop it so pull it back up and drop it in back a notch till it drops in pointing at number one spark plug wire on the distributo cap.. .. sometimes they wont drop in all the way so you have to hold down on it till someone turns the engine over to make it drop on down about 1/2 inch more. I guess first thing you should do is follow number one spark plug wire to the distributor and mark it down below the cap on the metal part of the distributor.. number one cylinder on a chevrolet is if your standing in front of the car with the hood open its the first one on your right. say holler if you have more... i do not know but give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local GM dealership in the parts department and they be able to print you off pictures and diagrams showing you where it is located it maybe in the fan itself wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

Depending on the system (factory or aftermarket) the answer will vary.I can only help you if it is a factory system.The Module is a small plastic box usually located way up under the dash on the drivers side.Before I change the module here are a couple of hints to check out first.Check the brake lamp switch at the pedal,check the connector to the linkage under the hood and please check all fuses too!
