This is a ground problem. Clean all grounds under the hood. Follow all wires to find grounds. More than likely close to passenger headlight. Hope this helps.

I have a 2002 dodge grand caravan the headlights. One works on dim and the other works on bright. I've replaced both headlights and it did not fix it. What do I do next?

Sounds like a wiring problem. You may need a repair book to track it all down. Could be a ground connection too.
The headlight switch sends power to the dimmer, then thru the body control module, then the high and low beam relays, then the four fuses, then the actual headlights. So you should have power on the low or high beam fuses depending on which way the dimmer switch is positioned.

Low beam lights on the passenger side works and driver side does not. high beam driver side works and passenger side does not. we have already replaced the bulbs and it did not help.

It's quite common for headlight connectors to become so tarnished that one or both of the filaments in the headlights is either dim or non-functional. One way to clean them up is to cut a strip of steel the same width as the terminal blades on the headlight (this is for push-on connectors; some vehicles use screw terminals) and long enough to hold conveniently, then cut a strip of Scotch-Brite about 6-8" long and the same width. Wrap and hold the Scotch-Brite around one end of the strip to make your contact cleaning device. Push it into the connector contact and pull it out several times. Repeat for each contact. Next, identify the ground wire for each headlight connector (black or green wire that connects to vehicle body metal somewhere nearby). Unscrew the ground terminal from the vehicle body and polish the terminal and the underside of the screw head, and clean the body metal in the area covered by the terminal.

If the headlight comes on but is still dim, repeat the connector cleaning procedure. If the headlight connector is very severely corroded, you may need to replace it.

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion and the passenger side head lamp will not come on. The fog lights and driver side head lamp works but the passenger side will not work on bright or on dim, what could this be?

Hi. Since the headlight on the driver side is working then we dont have any problem with the fuse or relay. Check the wiring and the socket of the passenger headlight if it is intact to the bulb. If it is intact, then this could be a headlight problem. Time to replace the passenger headlight.

Passenger side headlight was dim, replaced both headlights, passenger side is still dim?

A dim light is often due to a poor ground. Check the ground wire leading from the light to where it attaches to the frame. Disconnect it there, clean it up and reattach it. If you are not mechanically inclined look in the yellow pages under autoelectric shops. Jo

there is a ground wire for both sides. follow the wire from the connector to body and clean, Test the 12 volt wire to make sure it has 12 volts. If not bad switch or bad wire or contact in the connector. Wiggle the connector first with the lights on to see if it changes.

Head Lights go dim, instrument panel goes dim when I turn on my Headlights

Does it go completely black or just dim? Most displays dim when you turn the lights on to make the display darker so its not too bright. GPS and other displays do this. Do you have any problems with any other of the car's electronics?
