2004 Neon...this is wild, you turn on anything except for the radio and everything including what you turned on shuts off and or goes whacky! The gauges fail, the windshield wipers won't work, nothing! Luckily the lights still come on but when they do everything shuts down again, seems like nothing works, all the fuses are good and alot have been replaced. Any idea what might be causing all of these problems???

$400? wow. When things get "whacky" with the guages, replace your ignition switch. NOT the switch your key goes into, it's located on the bottom of the steering column. Need to remove the plastic skirt that coveres the steering wheel column.
Do you know how to do automotive electrical testing ? Following wiring diagrams , checking B+ voltage at different points along the circuit . Did you use a interface module with the aftermarket radio ? The GM radio is hooked to the class 2 serial data network . Your best bet , take it to a qualified installer .
I assume that is just goes dead and when you try to start it everything turns on and turns over but won't start like it is not getting gas. If this is the case then the first thing I would check is the fuel relay located back by the gas tank. A parts store will help you out with locating this. Very easy to fix by yourself when you know where it is. These relays are notorious for corroding.

probably a dead battery and possibly caused by a failed alternator. First try jump start and leave cables on. If car runs with cables on and then dies when you remove the cables, your alternator is not working. Let me know if that isn't it, and I'll provide additional troubleshooting steps.
It is probably either a short in the wiring. You would have to take it apart to make sure there is not. It could be part of your cars security, again you would have to take it apart to check the wiring, or it could be a faulty ecu. Something you would have to take out and get tested at a dealer. If you are worried about it and not a DIYer i would take it to the dealer.
