My 1996 pontiac grand am is leaking water from under the car by the front passenger wheel. What would be wrong with my car

if its under the passenger side front, it could be a water pump or hose leaking.

does it look like water? if so could be your ac draining it comes out kinda behind the wheel on passenger side of the car even though you dont turn it on if its a little low in freon it will kick on and off when you have it set to off, thus you get the water running out on the road thing lol, not alor to worry with unless its another type of liqued, does the coolent lvl get low on the car? what color is the mestery liqued?

If it were related to the heater core or the AC drain, it would be leaking when it is not raining also, so those diagnoses are not logical.

The grand prix has a long history of floor leaks from seal failures around the air intake under the windshield cowling, where RAIN water runs in.

more than likely it is either the hoses to the heater coil or the heater coil itself good luck

Sounds like you may have a issue with the heater core its located under the dash and when they leak crack they have to be replaced they leak on to the floor and cause you to loose your heat

check heater hose lines and transmission lines to your radiator also check leaking at heater core

It can be the heater core leaking or it could be the A/C condensation line is clogged up.More than likely it's the heater core if it is a large puddle of water though.

passenge side down at bottom of engine bulkhead, you need to raise the car up and get under it to get at the drain tube..

It is either condensation water from the A/C unit that should go out a drain tube to the outside (only if A/C or Defrost is on) or a leaky heater core. If it is a heater core you can usually smell a coolant smell and the water will be warm and your windows will fog up inside. Heater core is more common. Joe ASE Master Tech

Sounds like they installed the pump incorrectly. Gasket misalignment? Started right after the waterpump was installed? Hose clamp not quite tight enough? Just a thought.
