Air conditioning unit blows air but only hot air.

Go get freon. you can get it at any auto part store, i had the same problem.. Just make sure you use the right tip, as it will spray all over and will cause frost bite.

Replace a heatercore in a 1997 jeep grand cherokee

REMOVAL
  1. Remove the heater-A/C unit from the vehicle. "Housing Assembly HVAC : Service and Repair" See: Heating and Air Conditioning\Housing Assembly HVAC\Service and Repair
  2. Remove the heater core retaining screws.
  3. Pull the heater core straight out of the housing.
INSTALLATION
  1. Install the heater core into the housing.
  2. Position the clips over the heater core tubes. Install and tighten the screws.
  3. Install the heater-A/C unit into the vehicle. Under "Housing Assembly HVAC : Service and Repair" See: Heating and Air Conditioning\Housing Assembly HVAC\Service and Repair

Air condition

This is a normal thing that all air conditioners are made to do. When you floor it the AC cuts off to give the engine more power. You might also notice this happening when you go up a steep hill. It is completely normal.
