SOURCE: VW Passat 2006 service now

2 options depending on your displays .

Press and hold the service wrench button with the ignition off. While still holding the button, turn your ignition to "on" (but don't start the car). Press the Min clock button and then release the wrench button.

With key off press and hold the 0.0 button on the cluster. With your other hand turn the key to the on position , while still holding 0.0 button, press the minute button for 1 second and you will see the service reset.

cheers

08 vw passat shakes when starting and tps light on

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor
TPMS = Tire Pressure Monitoring System

The TPS is located on the Engine and is part of the Intake System
The TPMS is located INSIDE the Wheel. If you changed the RIM or the Sensor that is normally located inside the wheel is missing, it would cause this. The Weird Noise? Is that an Out of Balance Tire?

We need more information to assist you.

Tire pressure for passat 2002

It is not so much the tire pressure for a Passat, 2002 as it is the tire pressure for a tire on the Passat 2002.

Only certain tires will fit on a Passat and VW knows this when they put the information on the door pillar, driver side in most 'editions' of the Passat. Same is said about what they printed in the owner manual and also the sticker that may be in your glove compartment.

All this information provided by VW is based on the tire that fits the Passat. The tire will have all the information you require molded into the side wall of the tire: recommended pressure, load range, temperature range and more. Look closely at the tire for this and lots more infomation including tire construction type, material and size.

I have a 2006 VW Passat and the Low Tire Pressure light came on. I put air on the tires and the light went off but it came back on the next day.

Check the tire pressure again, including the spare. It's quite possible that you have a tire with a slow leak that may need to be repaired. Hope this helps.

My tire pressure warning light is on saying underinflated pressure although I checked the tiresand the pressure and they were OK. The warning light remains on. How do I fix this?

Had the same problem with my 2006 passat, there is a tyre pressure button on the lower central console on the drivers side of the gearstick, make sure your tyres are at the correct pressure first, then with the engine running press in this button and hold it in for about 10 seconds, this will reset the tyre pressure warning to the pressure that is currently in the tyres

I have a 2006 VW passat and electronic power steering

If you put it on a code reader it will likely say this, 44-Steering Assist -- Status: Malfunction 0010 if you delete the code it may get it working, if not the sensor is inside the steering rack so would need another rack, Jacking it up may have just upset the sensor so clearing the fault code may work...

Tire pressure sensor continues to say check tire pressure when tire pressure is ok. Does sensor need to be replaced or can it be cleaned or what?

The first step in diagnosis would be to make sure all the sensors are calibrated to the car which requires a tool that some tire dealers & car dealers have.
