Press and hold the POWER and RECIRCULATE buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds. The LEDs on the button should come on and it takes about 3 minutes to run through the diagnostics as it checks the limits of each of the actuators. After completion, if the RECIRCULATE button is flashing then the calibration of one or more of the actuators has failed.

If it shows a failure, which item has failed? If the calibration cycles thru everything and the controls seem to function, can the system report a false failure?

I fixed the blend door actuator on my 2001 Lincoln navigator but my heater is stuck on defrost but blows out hot air

so my guess is want Ac COLD ARE
OR JUST THE MODE ACTUATORS FAILING
there is A manual AC system and Climate controls sys.
the are not the same.
I guess AC wanted,
the blend door stuck open is wrong,
if stuck open thee will be no cold.
the blend door closed and blocks the heater core 100%
if max AC cold is selected.
and recirc mode too is needed
a tiger by the tail, this VACUUM controls monster.
we only can fix them in a shop with a vacuum hand pump with vac gauge, and the service manual to ID hose colors
guessing is not easy here
there are 2 blend doors, left and right to fail.
blend is electric so this 2001 system is hybrid of elect + vac controls
air inlet it vacuum servo.
left and right mode actuator is electric motor drive.
frost defrost is VACUUM servo drive./
the service manual has vacuum logic table matric
showing all vacuum status, V or NV for each mode
and manual system is not like CliaMATE CONTROL

manual controls, I can not publish the whole HVAC chapter here.

vac-ng-undefined-undefined-0.jpg 17= heater core
6,= evapcore (cold)
11 is blower
16 is vac controls. dash
13 is engine vacuum, intake man, 20"hg at idle.

2001 Dodge Caravan. no heat, stays in ac mode

Check the radiator to make sure that the coolant level in the radiator itself is not lower than the level of the heater pipes.
Look to see if their is any heat going through the heater pipes. The radiator or the the heating system could be having problems and it should be looked at by a mechanic.

How do I disable security system on 2001 dodge caravan

Check your mechanics manual. There is most likely a sequence of times you must turn your vehicle on, then turn the key back one click. you can actually hear the module trying to reprogram itself. If a vandal was at fault and damaged anything, you may have to take it to a mechanic. My daughters Chevy Venture was stolen and destroyed. Little by little we put things back in order..glass/modules/ignition etc. I was not able to reset the system, and had to take it to a dealer. Still cheaper than a replacement van though. Good Luck! :)

Our 2001 Mazda MPV doors are not locking. Before, we were able to lock all doors just by locking manually locking from the inside on the driver side and using the remote keyless entry. Now, when we try...

The clicking you hear is the vehicle asking for the program sequence to reprogram the locking system. Apparently something threw it out of sequence, ( a battery change , jumpstart, voltage spike , etc). The programming sequence that mazda uses is really kinda crazy. I was able to locate the sequence to try. If it does not work have the dealership flash the pcm, (another word for reprogram the powertrain control module). Here is the sequence:
1) Get in MPV with ignition key, and all fobs for the vehicle.
2) Close all doors and remove ignition key if it is in ignition.
3) Open driver's door
Note: Steps 4 and 5 must be completed in under thirty seconds.
4) Repeat the following three times
a) Insert ignition key
b)Turn ignition switch to on and then to lock
c) Remove ignition key
5) Repeat the following three times
a) Close driver's door
b) Open driver's door
Locks should all lock and then unlock within a couple of seconds--you'll hear the clicking sound
6) Press any button two times within five seconds on fob being programmed.
Locks should again lock and unlock
7) Repeat step 6 for all other fobs being programmed. When done with last fob, wait a few seconds and then you should be done with the reprogramming. Each fob should now work for this vehicle.

With the AC on, I get cool air on the passenger side but warm on drivers side

Sounds like you have a problem with door or diverter in the a/c/heater duct under the dash. That door is not opening or closing, whatever the case may be.

Owen, Try this Get in close doors, don't lock them. Put key in, cycle the key on & off 4 times. Ending in the off position. After the 4th time & within 10 seconds, press the lock switch on the drivers door. If you here a chime, they are reprogramed
