first if old belt is still on jeep draw a diagram of how belt is routed first even i get confused motor needs to be cool release tention on belt some have spring loaded tentioners some you have to losen the center bolt on tintioner pully and turn ajusting bolt to losen belt install new belt tention propley
check chiltons manuals, they usually have wiring diagrams in the back of them to show you all you need. its hard to find online ones. you always have to pay for those ones
Hmm I don't recall 4.0 having oil coolers be way to be sure is to buy a coolant pressure tester fill the sytem (with water don't waste new coolant) and pressurize it. The most common coolant leaks on 4.0 engine that I see r from the rad and the water pump.
I would try some local auto parts stores in your area and ask for chilton or hayes motors manual for 1994 Jeep cherokee and should cover that motor and model.

you may need to add coolant to the system, If it is full check to see if there is a valve on your heater hose running from the engine to the heater core. If there is, make sure the valve is in the open position when your heater is on and the engine is up to temp. If that doesnt help try flushing the sytem, you may have a plugged heater core.
