hmmm thats a lil odd seems like the motor to the passenger side window could be burned out or some other electrical issue is going on with it

You have to remove the inner door panel to
access the window regulator

You remove the regulator & then the motor from it

You Tube Video will provide a visual of several
similar window motor replacement jobs

Go there-- enter your car,question ,details,etc--- then move
around the site to watch various things

It can be issue with motor itself.If its not going up,then how its working down.But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch.Get the voltage tested at switch and motor.Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

HI there your problem is the motor . each window has it's sprat
motor . to be shore check the switch by remove it from console .
and with a test light
find the wires cumming out of the switch for driver side door window
see if you have power . you should have power on one wire all
the time with ignition switch in the on bastion .if you have power
as you operate the window switch .put the window is still not going
up or down you need window motor.

it's a switch problem. motormite/dorman makes these. try that and see how it works.

how do you put a window motor on a chevy cavalier

You didn't say if you had manual or electric windows. First stop is the fuse box to insure you don't have one or more blown fuses. If that is not the case, then you need to check the circuit at your horn with a voltage meter. If you have current, then you need to replace the horn. If you don't, then I would inspect the wiring and the relay.

If a fuse is not the culprit for your window, then you need to take the door apart and check the current from the switch to the motor, if you have current when you flip the switch, you may have a dead motor. If you don't have current, then you need to check the fuse again and insure you checked the correct one or it may be a faulty switch. If the switch isn't faulty and you get current to the motor, then the motor may be bad.

If all of the window electronics check out, then it may be a mechanical problem with the window regulator

See this alot. Sorry,It appears that is a symptom of a bad motor. If it moves an inch or so,then nothing,after a few minutes another inch or so,it's motor time!

check the wireing to the window motor an at the conector as well where it comes thru the door =- i have seen them break there an its covered === also check the circuit breaker in the fuse pannel position number 16 in the breaker for the window motors ok
