Even if you could get a fit the bigger problem is the computer programming

The difference is in how long the computer pressurizes the system

so unless you want to replace all the electronics including the harnesses then you may have to live with the evap codes

you might find a good tech at your DEALER that can reprogram the computer using the hexadecimal method to reprogram ONLY the EVAP section but with your vehicle being a 1997 it might me too tough since Honda won't be supporting that computer data any longer

That's caise the cars computer still had the error code stored in it... You will need to reset or clear it... This is usually done with a code reader.. Call your local mechanic to have him clear the error codes

you didnt try a substitute did you ??? you have to replace 1 to 1 if you try a sub it wont work.. the computer wont be able to handshake with the sensor cause the coding is different .. PS get the original for your car eighter used or new..

Check engine light on.99 CIVIC lx rough idle. while driving almost stalled out. had to hammer the gas to .then it took off..HELP!!!!

First get the check engine light scanned at your local parts store, they'll do it for free. I'll bet the problem is a plugged EGR passage, which is very common on those engines.
