My Audi A4 Climate Control has stopped working.

My 1999 Audi A4 Advant Climate Control has stopped working. No air out of the air vents even though control lights up showing fan setting. Where are the fuses for the fans etc.

Thanks for your reply. The #5 fuse is ok. Where is the brown wire to check. Is this visable or do I have to undo some covers?

Thanks for your help. It seems that the fan needs replacing as I can get it to rotate very slowly by tapping it but once I turn it off and then on again it is dead! Thanks again - Jim

Here is the interior fuse box

you need to check #5 which should be a 10A

however, equally important is the control wire from the blower motor to the a/c control head pin #4 which is a brown wire
If you have an open between them the head might not set a code because it still thinks it is commanding the fan on

you should start at the blower motor under the right side of the dash and trace it back to the computer

This makes switching sensor stuck to the subject when the reverse ligts is ON/OFF is on the side of the gearbox

1999 Audi A4 Climate Control Removal/Installation

You have to remove the trim panel around the stereo/climate control to expose the screws that hold it in place. Once you do that, and the screws are removed, it pulls straight out and unplugs. No need to disconnect the battery and no tricks to it once it slides out.
