Hi, the fan switch seems to have a loose connection. It works some of the time when the switch is pushed in firmly or pulled out firmly but is intermittent. I seems that the blower itself works fine. The problem obviously occurs with "heat" selected as well, which tells me it is just an issue with the switch. Does this sound correct??
Also, how do I go about getting the dash apart to get at the switch. I have the bottom portion removed but cannot find any more screws. Does it just 'pop' off?

Sometimes you have to squeeze the little tab like normal and then push the plug into itself and at same time while squeezing tab, pull out firmly and see if that does it for you. Hope that gets you going. Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV)
Its more than likely a poor connection at the blower motor resistor. Its mounted on the heat duct on the passenger side with 2 screws.I would first turn the ignition and fan switches on with the fan switch on #2 or 3 then wiggle the connector on the blower motor resistor. These resistors get hot and melt the pigtail and usally loose there connection.
The Tail and Dash lights are normally controlled by the same connection in the Light Switch. Check the wiring plug on or near the light switch for a poor connection. Some times the spade connectors in the connecting plug are pushed back because they have not ben secured in the plug properly. Check this by gently pushing then pulling each wire in the connector. there should be little or no movement. Any loose ones will be obvious.
What kind of vehicle is it?? Some vehicles have a nut holding the arm on a splined post. This sound like your problem. Check to see if a nut is loose holding the arm on. If so, with wipers off, locate the arm in the proper rest position to match the other side and push it down firmly on the post. Tighten the nut. If the arm has been loose for a while the splines on the post may be too worn to keep the arm from moving. If this is the case you need parts, probably the the whole wiper linkage. Few models have the pivots separately.
