They're guide pins for the calipar to slide on while braking,as well as bolts. A 10mm deep socket and ratchet should do it. Hope this helps.

What tools are needed to change the brakes

if the front are rotors there are two bolts that need to be taken off first.
remove the caliper, then remove the two caliper bracket bolts and remove the rotor
replace the rotor and reinstall the caliper bracket.
pull the caliper sliders and lube them with brake grease.
reinstall caliper sliders and install new pads and caliper
refasten caliper to bracket and your done

if your doing rear disc brakes same as front
if brakes are drum type you will need rear drum brake tools to release the springs and to refasten

How do i install a rear engine cradel bushing on a 1996 chrysler Intrepid I have the hayes rebuild manual and I can not find it anywhere in it so if you could send me a diagram of it that would be great. I...

you will ned to have the front of the car well off the ground wheel and all to do this repair. once car is up it will need to be supported at the pinch welds behind the front wheels on the body and body only. because you will need to drop the subframe/craddle a few inches.

now once that is done you will need to work with 1/2" tool's for the added torque and leverage. the two rear bolts holding subframe up are where the mount bushing you speak of are located. the bolts are21mm or 22mm insize meaning you need that size socket to remove them. remove both rear ones but you will need a jack under the middle of the rear of the sun=bframe to lower and rise it too swap the mounts. once both bolts are out lower the jack to lower the subframe and you will be able to replace mounts and the install is reverse.

if you have any more question please ask and good luck. be very carefule

2006 dodge ram 2500 4x4 diesel replace brake pads front and back

Straight forward job. Remove wheels, remove 2 caliper bolts per wheel, check bolts, and bushings for wear/corrosion and lubricate, remove calipers, remove brake pads, push caliper pistons into calipers, replace anti-rattle clips, put new pads in, put caliper and bolts in, put wheels on. Start truck and press brake pedal several times to take up slack and you're done.

1993 Dodge Intrepid needs starter & front brake pads

Ft brakes are easy as well. You have to remove the 2 caliper to steering knucle guide pin bolts on the caliper, swing it back and tie it up so that you can remove the rotor. Min thickness on the rotors is 22.4, but if you are changing pads, just go to the parts house & get new rotors as they are only about $18. here while turning is $10.
The 3.5 and 3.3 engines have different starters. They are attached to the engine near the transaxle by 3 bolts. Be sure to disconnect the battery before removal. Rick

Brake caliper removal

Sometimes they use a T-50 torx bit, and sometimes they use either a 15mm or 18mm bolt, however the caliper bracket is a 21mm bolt
