Ok here the problem! you replaced the egr for no reason !the problem is all the carbon build up in the intake manifold just under the egr valve! this happens the alot of gm s !to solve the problem intake must b removed and clean out !!! remove all the carbon from the egr port!
Testimonial: "I STILL HAVE NOT RESOLVED MY ISSUE BUT YOUR INPUT WAS CERTAINLY HELPFUL.IT ALERTED ME OF POSSIBLE RIP OFF"
SOURCE: I recently change the egr valve on my car due to P0401
Could be clogged egr passages in the intake. Also could be just do to a reflash needed of the computer. GM has come up with new software for the computer to fix this problem.

Thanks so much for your feedback on the egr valve. Just wondering, several mechanics and auto store advises that when the egr valve was changed, the mechanic should have known to cleaned the area which is now causing the reading of PO401 (engine lignt insufficent egr flow)Is that right? I had contact the mechanic immediately after putting it back on machine. Your comment that it did not need changing just cleaned. Just like to verify that the mechanic that did the work should have known to clean the area. Please confirm
