Should be able to get the cover off with the engine in the frame. Just take out the grille and header support, then disassemble the front of the engine. If you are dead set on removing the engine, she comes out the front after taking everything out of the way.

Do you have to pull the engine to replace 1999 Sable 3.0 DOHC timing chain?

You can pretty much look at the front of the motor & ask yourself,
can all the necessary parts come off with no clearance to work

I would say dropping the motor out the bottom complete with transaxle
& subframe, as a complete unit would be necessary

The question is --why the timing chain, never changed oil very often since the car was new & ruined the engine?

The cam actuators & cams are clogged with sludge, that should never
been allowed to happen

Need more than just the chains replaced

Can you tell me how to replace timing chain on a 1966 impala

The best way is to pull the motor out. The timing chain cover needs to come off of the front of the motor (behind the water pump) and this can be done with the motor in the car. The problem comes when you try to put the cover back on. There is a seal that fits in a groove on the bottom of the timing cover. The seal will not let the cover go back into place without damaging the seal. The oil pan needs to be dropped down and then the timing cover goes into place. The oil pan goes on after the timing cover is in place. Any other way will result in premature failure of the timing cover to oil pan seal. If you have enough room under the car and can remove the oil pan, that will work also. I hope this helps.

When dose a timing belt need to be replaced on a 2003 express van?

This van has a timing chain, which should last for the life of the engine. The LS engines, which I'm guessing you have one of the 4.8,5.3,or 6.0L, use a high quality roller timing chain that is long-lasting, and won't give you issues. Also, having roller lifters, the camshaft puts less resistance on the timing chain, so the combination of a strong chain coupled with less resistance, makes for a reliable chain.

Had new motor put in chevy truck and oil pressure runs below 30ps

At 2000 RPM a new GM engine should be close to 45 psi for oil pressure. It'll drop to mid or high 30's at idle. Hope this helps.
