2005 ram 1500 4.7 w/ misfire has independant coils. Help

How old are the spark plugs? Did you check them for condition and gap?

Coil packs can be tested, or did you just guess and change them?

Crankshaft Position Sensor?
Camshaft Position Sensor?

A pro grade scan tool computer can diagnose electronically.

Try moving the COP (coil over plug) from cylinder #1 to another cylinder. If the midfire moves you know it is the coil

and the car still misfire???

Hi Vince, The problem can also be to do with leaking valves or worst, damaged piston rings. Carry out a compression test. If the reading is low, use two squirt of oil into the combustion chamber. If the reading increases piston is indicated, if it remains low the valves are suspect and a head job required. Regards John
