did you purchase a generic remote unit or the genuine one provided by Chrysler. If you have a part number that would be helpfull.

no not really more like a dodgy remote and they have no doubt ordered a new one for you

you will need to take it to a dealer or some place that has a scanner to program key fobs
IMORTANT TAKE ALL THE KEY FOBS WITH YOU
once the vehicle is put in the learn mode all the fobs have to be programed

GM FOBS cannot be reprogrammed at home...Dealer ($90-125) or go to a local car stereo shop and get their new keyless entry installed ($89)

the body control module may need a software update..check with your local dealer

dont go through all the hassles of removing the door trim just take the terminal off the battery for about a minute then reconect again worked on mine good luck

The rke on 06 pontiac only can be programed using a diagnostic scan tool or Tech 2.
Conect the scan tool to the vehicle. turn key to on position.
Select 1 body, 2 them select special funtions
3 slect program key fob,
4 select the number of key fob you want to program.
5 Press and hold the lock and unlock key simultaneous. about 15 seconds
The power lock cycle confirm the remote is programed.
