The emission light came on our 2010 Honda Odyssey with 2500 miles. Brought in to dealer who told us a RAT!?! chewed the line so the repair would not be under warranty. I smell a rat & it's not the one they say chewed my wire! What do you think?

Hi:
Unfortunately, there have been lots of cases of rodents chewing on car wiring. In the last five years or so, wire manufacturers have used soy beans as an ingredient in the insulation coating on automobile wiring, and it seems it is tasty to our small friends. Depending on where you park your car , will make you succeptible to it happening again. The Mom of a friend of mine had $1000 worth of damage to her car wiring, as some chipmunks had a field day with her newer car. She ended up placing some moth balls around where her car was parked, to keep the critters away. If you have wildlife near your car, look out!

Ihave a 2001 honda odyssey and i took it to the dealer ship because ihad aproblem with one of my doors and I had a bad motor mount they fix it and then the next day I took it back because it was runing bad...

They had a issue with the egr ports clogging up in the intake manifold,it can cause all kinds of oddball symptoms.BUT it should be covered under emissions 8yr/80,000miles warranty chck with honda dealer and get a little frisky if its outside time/milage waranty a little pushing sometimes gets em to cave and cover the repair

SRS light stays on

I have 2002 Odyssey( 59000 miles without warranty). Several months ago the SRS light stayed on after I started the car. Some people said the dealers usually charge $ 80 to 95 to reset the light. Today I sent the car to dealer. After checking the car, they told me the car is under warranty, the parts and repairing are free.

Transmission and idle

One of two things....He screwed up when replaceing the transmission and damaged the TPS sensor.... or the common problem is the TPS sensor got messed up when the rat ate the insulation off of the sensor and chewed through the wires.
Check with your local dealer about a warranty/recall on the TPS sensor.
