Your radio is protected by a theft deterent. When the battery is disconnected the radio thinks it is being stolen. If you look in your owners manual, there should be a code you enter by typing the numbered keys on the radio to restore it. If you can't find the manual or the code google it.

2004 Hyundai Tiburon radio won't work after car battery change

Hi,
Probably has a security code. It's in the owner's manual or you'll have to take it to the dealer.

Changed the battery in my 1998 vw beattle and the radio won't come on

Go to your local V W agent and they can supply you with the security number for your radio, this is a safety precaution, next time plug in a memory minder before removing the battery, this is common with all modern vehicles. Hope this is of some help. Bryan NZ.

The radio stopped working after I changed battery

You can't fix it. It takes a scanner at your Local Dealership to do it. People do it, (new battery) everyday unaware that doing so can and usually does, arm's the theft system and either kills the radio or the whole car. To me it's just another built-in defect that requires dealer assistance. It's a buzzkill I know, and it probably won't be long until car owners won't even have access to the engine compartment.

I changed the battery in my 2001 Toyota Sienna and now my radio won't work.

Press station 1 and 6 and turn the ignition key to on position but donot start the vehicle, you will see the unlock code flashing, note the number that is your radio code, read your vehicle manual and insert code to unlock.
