Check the carburetor breather line for obstructions ( a usually black hose), this will cause fuel to rise into your airfilter. could also be that your floats are messed up. check a yzf forum on how to inspect and adjust these

I have a 2003 Honda forman 450 trx atv, it cuts out real bad as long as the cover is on the air filter. When i remove the cover it runs great The filter is o.k. the carburater has been checked and is

Filter may look OK but it's not if it only takes the cover to choke the engine. Check the choke is opening properly and there are no vent restrictions on filter cover.

IS THERE AWAY TO BYPASS THE FUEL FILTER SO THE CAR WILL RUN UNTIL WE CAN GET A NEW ONE. THE CAR WILL NOT STAY RUNNING. HAVE TO HAVE YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS TO START ONCE YOU REMOVE YOUR FOOT FROM THE GAS...

Are you sure that bypassing the fuel filter will solve that problem? I would not recommending doing so. If you bypass the filter then any trash coming in through the fuel will clog the injection ports. And then the car will absolutely not run. Cleaning injection ports are mighty expensive. If you suspect trash coming into the fuel, purchase a few fuel filters... about three. They are not expensive and are realitively easy to replace. If a new fuel filter helps the car run, then great! Just replace it again when the car starts stalling. Eventually, all trash from the fuel will be filtered out.

However, I do not think that a simple filter would effect the idling of the car. The idle can be adjusted, though I do not know how on your specific car. Also, you may have a faulty throttle position sensor.

Carburater problem, can the sadanite cause this.

Could be you have air or dirt in the petrol filter? This will block any petrol and cause the engine to stop. You may want to invest in some fuel system cleaner.

My 1998 Olds 88 has been stalling and running rough.

Check and clean the IAC valve. Idle Control Valve. Use brake cleaner or carburater cleaner . Remove the duct work from the air filter assembly. It is located just inside . Run the engine at 1200 rpms and spray the valve. The valve can also be removed and cleaned.

Bmw E30, 316, 55 kw, 1987, M10 with carburater

Sounds like you're running rich.

First, change the air filter, and check that the air intake isn't blocked somewhere.

If that doesn't sort it out, it's the carb. They have an automatic choke (cold start), which could be sticking on and causing problems.

One thing it isn't is the timing belt (sorry Satanscash) as this engine doesn't have one... and even if it did, failure of the belt results in a very dead engine!
