I changed the battery in our 2008 VW Jetta 2.5 and all the lights in the dashboard are on now. How do I reset it?

It happened once to me... you have to drive it for 5 miles and it starts to remember the sensors and functions it had... and the lights will go away

I have vw 2012 jetta TDI where the running/marking lights front/rear and dashboard lights are out.

Potential foundations for light issues in 2012 VW Jetta TDI: really look at wires, assess bulbs, wiring issues, flawed light/dimmer switches, control module, or battery. Counsel a repairman for precise finding and fixes.

My Volkswagen Jetta won't start after disconnecting and re connecting the battery

The first link says you can disconnect the battery cables and touch the Pos and Neg leads together to discharge any stored charge in the system. I don't think that is good, it works on some cars and other cars it can short out electrical components. I think it is better to disconnect the battery and turn the key on and let it sit for more than 1 hour to reset the immobilizer. Just my thought.

How do you reset a low tire pressure warning on a 2008 Jetta?

#1 Make sure the tires are at the proper press and drive it for approx 10 - 15 minutes or disconnect the
battery for about 30 minutes (just don't do that if you have to get the emissions done soon, within 2 weeks or so you will not have enough memory to pass).
