The first link says you can disconnect the battery cables and touch the Pos and Neg leads together to discharge any stored charge in the system. I don't think that is good, it works on some cars and other cars it can short out electrical components. I think it is better to disconnect the battery and turn the key on and let it sit for more than 1 hour to reset the immobilizer. Just my thought. pull the negative battery cable off for a few minutes, or pull the fuse for the computer for a few minutes, or take it to autozone and have them clear the codes with the computer
#1 Make sure the tires are at the proper press and drive it for approx 10 - 15 minutes or disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes (just don't do that if you have to get the emissions done soon, within 2 weeks or so you will not have enough memory to pass).
