I bought a 2005 CRV with water damage. Seller

I bought a 2005 CRV with water damage. Seller said had Honda replace computer and that he drained the transmission which had been water logged and refilled it. Now that we have 15 degree temperatures the transmission does not want to shift or pull. We're going to flush the transmission again and replace small metal ring but there is not a transmission filter according to Honda here. The inside shifter didn't want to move today either. Car won't pull itself but after it is warmed for about an hour it seems to work fine. Any filters in the lines that you know of or do you have any other suggestions.

A flush through sounds like it will make a difference. Make sure you use an oil recommended for your gearbox/enviroment as these oils/gearboxes do need to get warm to work properly and a thick oil in cold temperatures just isn't going allow gear changes to work properly.

Having been in the automotive repair business for over 30 years it is very rare to repair an automatic transmission by draining and flushing the system once water has entered the system.. The simply fact is that you can not drain the torque converter of fluid by this method which means there will always be some water in the system...Ive seen it tryed and tryed again with little results...The inside shifter sticking usually is cable related and not an internal transmission problem

Let the car warm up before driving it. These very cold temps can do a lot of strange things and you maybe chasing a red herring.

Remove the cover and replace the bulb. A much better description can be found in the Chilton manuals. You can get LED replacements that should last longer then the vehicle.
