Is there any way of getting the hood open if the latch has no pressure without harming the hood or paint

I kind of dought they would take the hood off to replace your radiator .
If it was working before they may have moved the latch in the center down by leaning on it and yes you should be easly be able readjust it your self
Open the hood look at the latch if it has moved down you will be able to see because it was painted in the correct pisition from the factory . It will show you will need 1/2 in or 12 mm mabey a10mm 7/16 in wrench move it back so the paint lines line up again and tighten .
I will also give you a tip lubericate the latch with white liuthem gresse you can get in spray cans do all door latches and hinges your vehicle is a 2000 you will thank me its time to lube them all

Looking at the design of the hood you may have just enough room between the hood and the top of the front cowling to get a hacksaw blade in between. If you can, tape up both surfaces to try keep any scratching to a minimum then use the hacksaw attached to a handle (for leverage) to cut the latch. May take a while but Its worth a try. Paint touch up is a lot cheaper then a grill!

Have one person pull on the latch inside and the other person pull up on the hood (sometimes depending may have to use a thin screwdriver to pry up carefully not to chip the paint). Once open lube the hood latch under the hood with wd-40. Make sure the latch inside is still connected to the wire.

Is the hood bent just enough where it wont latch? Try to put a 2x4 near the back part where the hinge or shock go and close hood gently andpush gently until hood bends back to shape and will close

you can still use key to unlock door to open bonet but dont leave keys in car when connecting new batery. hope this helps?

You have to start taking stuff apart to get to the hood latch. This might have to include removing body parts to get to the latch. You might be able t move the latch with a long long screw driver to pry it open. The latch itself . Do not try an pry the hood open you will only ruin the paint job and your screw driver.

cable is a little worn,but what you can do is open the hood.on each side or the core support,its the long piece that is above the radiator are 2 black rubber hood stops,you can try bringing them up a little at a time(3/4-1 turn)equally as this will put more pressure on the hood and should pop right open.It may take mor ore less than the turns I said,also lube the hood latch with some good lube not WD-40 hope it works have a good day DB

First, determine why it's not working. Does the pull lever feel normal or is it unusually free or difficult to pull? Free is a broken cable,,, diff to pull is a frozen latch.Try having someone put some pressure on the hood where the latch is, then try to pull the handle.If frozen, this sometimes takes pressure off it and makes it easier to unlatch.
If the cable is broken, sometimes you can snake a stiff piece of wire up from under the front of the car and then pull ******* the cable itself. sometimes this will work.If you can see the latch mechanism from either beneath the edge of the hood or from underneath, use the stiff wire to pull on the bare part of the latch cable.

Your hood is just stuck. You'll need the help of a friend. One person must pry up the hood with their fingers while the other keeps the hood lift lever pulled. Once you get the hood open, I highly recommend "adjusting" the U-shaped striker on the underside of the hood (it's painted body color. Do not mess with the black painted safety latch lever!). On this car model, it has a tendency to bend toward the passenger side over time, causing the sticking hood problem. It's nothing several whacks with a hammer can't fix though to restore it to its original position. Have someone brace the hood (i.e., push the hood toward the passenger side) while you bang the striker back toward the driver's side. It won't need to move far, so check the hood opening operation frequently to see if you've moved the striker far enough back towards the driver's side for it to function normally again. Also, be sure to lubricate the hood latch with some WD-40 or something similar. It will help keep the internal parts of the latch moving and make it easier for your hood to pop up when you pull the hood lift lever.
