Check the fuel pump wires at the tank.

There are recorded cases the wires are shorting near the spare tire and frame.

Is you fuel showing at the correct level?

====
A weak fuel pump will stall the motor on 1/3 tank or below.

When was the last fuel filter change?
====

Do a fuel pressure test when the tank is below 1/4.

Please post move information on reply.

Car won't stay running

If the problem only happens when the engine is cold, a bad electric sensor is likely to blame. If the car stalls even when the engine is warm, the cause is likely a faulty electric fuel pump.

1986 Toyota p'up starts, but won't stay running once i left off gas pedal

first i would look for a vacuum leaks get it as close to idle as you can when cold and spray carb cleaner around and also check to see if the egr valve is stuck open this will act as a vacuum leak but not detect as one spraying carb cleaner around carb cleaner with change the engine speed near a vacuum leak

Engine quit running without reazon

Engines always quit for some reason, the problem being what is the reason. Does the engine have spark? Fuel? Has the truck lost all electrical power? What happens when you try to start it? We need more information on what you have tried to help you track down the problem. Hope this helps!

1988 2wd 22r toyota pickup not idling

You might check the PCV valve and grommet,I'm assuming it's EFI,if the valve isn't sealed tight it will cause the motor die at lower RPM's
