The fuel pump is in the tank, the lines to the tank are: Fuel out to the engine Fuel return from the engine Vent hose. If they had clips on them put them back for safety reasons
Can you here the starter turning the engine over?
If yes the first hing I would check is fuel pressure. It should be around 60 psi and hold with the key off. If it drops rapidly than I would expect the fuel pressure regulator is leaking or possible the fuel pump has gone bad.
If the pressure is below 58 psi the vehicle will not start at all.
Hi, the electric fuel pump in the tank may be bad, causing a no start. it should run when the key is turned on, for two seconds, then stay running when the engine is cranking, or running. The pump should put out 55 psi, this should be the first item to check. Good luck...
cartrigde type is locted at the top of the crossmember just forward of the gas tank on driver side of the vehicle,,,,,,,,non cartradge type located on front of the fuel tank..
The only thing left in this system is the fuel pressure regulator. You need to check pressure before the regulator and after the regulator if there is the problem then you need to replace it. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer.
