I have an 05' Corrolla.problem is sometimes feels like I am driving with the brakes on.Went into a grocery store today when I came out the car would barely move and was like the brakes were on.Engaged and disengaged the EM brake a few times to make sure was not on but still was barely able to move the carand had plenty of brake fluid.Luckily Toyota dealership was next door.Car sat for about 10-15 mins.technician came back in and said there was nothing wrong and car drives fine. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me.Car only has 33,000 on it

Ive run into this problem a couple of times, one had a master cylinder that would sometimes keep rear brakes on a and another with a bad brake caliper. next time it happens jack car up and try to spin wheels by hand, youll find your probelm.

Spongey brakes, i have already replaced the front pads 2009 corrolla

Your drum brakes need to be adjusted first, most likely the pre-travel of the shoes is making the pedal feel soft. If it is still soft after shoe adjustment, you either have air in the system or possibly a bad master cylinder.

05 Equinox not able to remove right rear brake drum

Hiya...
Most rear brake-shoe design take some time to adjust than disc brakes...
If you have a special brake adjustment tool that your local automotive store sells, get this tool and pull out the rubber grommet plug, insert the brake adjustment tool until you 'feel' or hear the sound of 'skipping' on the brake self-adjuster spool inside as you wiggle /adjust the tool inside....(push it inside to get a firm feel that you can 'spin' it)
Try to push the tool downward or upward to check if that'll spin the brake self-adjuster part smaller to allow the brake shoes to 'shrink' which should allow you easy removal of the rear brake drum as you wiggle it out.

Be sure not to breathe in toxic brake dust upon successful brake drum removal.
