CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE WITH CAR RUNNING.TO SEE IF ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING THE BATTERY. IT SHOULD BE 13.5 VOLTS TO 14.5 VOLTS.IF NOT ITS YOUR ALTERNATOR.IF ALTERNATOR GOOD.MOST TIME IF ABS LIGHT COME ON YOU HAVE A FAULTY WHEEL SENSOR OR ABS RELAY.

Abslight stays on. How to fix? This is a2007trailblazer?

First you need to have EBCM - electronic brake control module check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . If the light is on there is a code stored . I think most part stores can do this and for free . After you find out what code is stored , looking up that code in service repair information for diagnostic trouble shooting chart would be next step . There are a few codes too.
DTC C0035 or C0040
DTC C0045 or C0050
DTC C0110
DTC C0131
DTC C0161
DTC C0186
DTC C0196
DTC C0201
DTC C0240
DTC C0241 or P0856
DTC C0244 or P1689
DTC C0245
DTC C0283
DTC C0287
DTC C0290 or C0292
DTC C0455
DTC C0550
DTC C0558

Find the code do the diagnostic's , fix the problem , wiring issue's , a sensor , bad module ,what ever it is . The light will go out then . Here is a sample of code discription .
• DTC C0035 Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit
• DTC C0040 Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit

Abs light on in 2000 Alero 3.4

check fuses..If the fuse blows the light comes on and the ABS system is not working..Or possible the abs motor is shot. In any rate it is a good idea to look into it as soon as possible. You ABS system is not working. You still have brakes but the anti lock system that prevents skids will not work

I don't understand the whole traction light thing. my car always says trac off-except when it says low trac and slides like it's on ice.

TAKE CAR TO A GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP HAVE THE ABS BRAKES AND TRACTION CONTROL CODE SCAN.YOUR ABS BRAKE SYSTEM WILL COME ON ADJUSTING BRAKE PRESSURE TO AVOID A SKID.THAT WHY LOW TRAC LIGHT COMES ON. MOST OF THE TIME WHEN YOU SEE LOW TRAC LIGHT DRIVING ON DRY ROADS PROBLEM IS IN THE ABS BRAKE UNIT OR BAD WHEEL SPEED SENSOR.

Where is the traction control switch located on a 99 oldsmobile alero?

LOOK FOR ETS BUTTON ON THE CENTER OF THE CONSOLE.THE INDICATOR LIGHT WILL TURN OFF BUT LONG AS CURRENT NEED TO LIMIT WHEEL SPIN THE TRAC LIGHT WILL REMAIN ON.TAKE VECHICLE TO GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP.HAVE THEM SCAN THE ABS AND TRAC CONTROL SYSTEM.MOST OF THE TIME A BAD WHEEL SENSOR WILL SET OFF TRAC WARNING LIGHT.

Why would my antilock & traction off light keep coming on and what should I do?

THE ABS AND TRAC LIGHT COMES ON MEANS YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. THE GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP HAS TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC SCAN ON ABS BRAKE AND ANTI LOCK SYSTEM TO SEE WHAT TROUBLE CODES COMING UP AND FIX THE PROBLEM.

The front left brake is doing all the braking and is heating up. brand new caliper on both sides and new rotors and pads. Had to repair yesterday because the pad on the left was sticking to the Rotor...

ABS LIGHT ON COULD BE A BAD WHEEL SENSOR CAUSING ABS UNIT LOCK UP THAT WHEEL OVERHEATING OR YOU COULD HAVE FAULT IN THE ABS UNIT.TAKE VECHICLE TO GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP.LET THEM SCAN THE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM TO SEE WHATS CAUSING ABS LIGHT TO COME ON.

I hace an 99 alero NS MY OFF TRACK AND MY ANIT

MOST OF THE TIME WHEN TRAC LIGHT AND ABS BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON YOU A HAVE A PROBLEM IN THE ABS AND TRAC SYSTEM.THIS IS A DEALERSHIP FIX. YOU CAN CHECK ABS BRAKE FUSES MAKE SURE IT IS IN TIGHT.AND CHECK FOR FAULTY ABS RELAYS.TO CHECK RELAY LOOK AT RELAY TERMINALS YOU HAVE TERMINAL 86 AND TERMINAL 85.YOU CONNECT TERMINAL 85 TO GROUND AND TERMINAL 86 TO BATTERY POSITIVE TERMINAL.IF RELAY CLICKS WHEN BATTERY VOLTAGE IS APPLIED.RELAY IS WORKING IF YOU HEAR NO CLICK RELAY NO GOOD NEEDS REPLACING.
