WHAT THAT MEAN CODE

Newer cars can give codes to tell people what is wrong with the car, the car's computer determines problem and flashes a code to tell you what it is. The newer cars have fuel injection that has a half dozen sensors that tell the system how much fuel to put into the engine and they sometimes don't work right. A repair manual for your kind of car and model would tell more about how to get code. Usually you buy a gadget at an auto parts supply store that plugs into the ODB II socket inside the passenger area, it then flashes a light in the instrument panel. Each group of flashes indicates a number. When diagnostic has begun, it tells the number of the problem area causing car not to run right. You look up number and that gives you a clue as to what part to get to fix it. Not perfect but does work.

1998 el ford falcon cuts out after 5 min turn key to off position to start again dissy ,coil ,bcm & computer have been replaced

It probably has fuel injection. There are sensors that tell the fuel injection how much fuel to put into the engine. The auto supplies sell a diagnostic tool that you plug into a socket on the car, usually under the dash. Plug it in and it will flash a dash light in the dash to tell you what is wrong (like morse code). I've used it on my 93 chevy truck and it flashes number 1 pause, then 2, both three times, that's a 12 means starting diagnostic, then flashes number of what part or parts are functioning wrong, made for many makes of car. Recently mine had similar problem, coolant sensor was telling engine computer it was hotter than car actually was, had to hold throttle to floor to start, it was code 15. The instructions tell you what that means. That might help you.

1988 ford taurus wagon chimes everytime i go 45+ mph and the speed light flashes... what's wrong?

You probably have the speed reminder set to 45mph. It chimes & flashes to let you know you are speeding. It will tell you how to adjust it in your owners manual. If you don't like it set it high eg: 100mph. then it won't happen.

Blue light started flashing what is wrong

Hi, has the weather just turned colder? The Beetle has a blue warning light to tell you that the engine temperature is low. Meaning drive the car at lower speeds/revs until it's warmed up and the light go's out. Hope that helps, Matt.

Abs light stays on but brake pads are good.

It is telling you that some thing is wrong with the Anti Lock Brake system. It is not referring to the pads. It should flash a certain number of times mixed with short and long flashes when you turn on the car. Count the short and long, this is a code to tell you what is wrong with your system. let me know the count and I will help you decipher the code. The OBD scanners that parts stores use wont read the ABS system. My past experience is taking it to te dealership for that.
