Same problem can you tell what is wrong by the flashes

The hold light flashing indicates a fault.. It may be flashing out an error code which can tell you what is wrong.
If it is just regular flashing, you will need an OBDII reader to extract the fault code, this will tell you what is wrong.

It probably has fuel injection. There are sensors that tell the fuel injection how much fuel to put into the engine. The auto supplies sell a diagnostic tool that you plug into a socket on the car, usually under the dash. Plug it in and it will flash a dash light in the dash to tell you what is wrong (like morse code). I've used it on my 93 chevy truck and it flashes number 1 pause, then 2, both three times, that's a 12 means starting diagnostic, then flashes number of what part or parts are functioning wrong, made for many makes of car. Recently mine had similar problem, coolant sensor was telling engine computer it was hotter than car actually was, had to hold throttle to floor to start, it was code 15. The instructions tell you what that means. That might help you.

You probably have the speed reminder set to 45mph. It chimes & flashes to let you know you are speeding. It will tell you how to adjust it in your owners manual. If you don't like it set it high eg: 100mph. then it won't happen.

Is your bag light flashing,if so what is the sequence.It should be telling you whats wrong by flashing a certain amount of times.You can write back and tell me more info.You may have a bad back up battery or fuse.

if it only flashes occasionally its cos its stopping the wheels from spinning when accelerating hard,TELL HIM NOTHING ,otherwise he will know you drive a "bit quick"(i'll be polite.)

Hi, has the weather just turned colder? The Beetle has a blue warning light to tell you that the engine temperature is low. Meaning drive the car at lower speeds/revs until it's warmed up and the light go's out. Hope that helps, Matt.

It is telling you that some thing is wrong with the Anti Lock Brake system. It is not referring to the pads. It should flash a certain number of times mixed with short and long flashes when you turn on the car. Count the short and long, this is a code to tell you what is wrong with your system. let me know the count and I will help you decipher the code. The OBD scanners that parts stores use wont read the ABS system. My past experience is taking it to te dealership for that.
