My 1995 bmw 525i front passenger window stopped working. It is weird, both this and my tail light went out as soon as I got it back from being waxed and buffed.
My window is doing the same thing now and it will not roll up. I just want to get the window up so it won't rain in my car. I don't care about fixing it yet. Just get the window up. Please help!!My window is doing the same thing now and it will not roll up. I just want to get the window up so it won't rain in my car. I don't care about fixing it yet. Just get the window up. The electric window could either be the fuse, switch, or window regulator motor at fault..Sometimes the window motor electric plug can vibrate loose or become loose from door slamming..Also the switch can become loose as well or contamination if you are lucky..You will have to remove door panel to inspect these components..and fuse panel..The light could be a faulty bulb..Check and replace bulb..before involving the signal indicator switch lever...If bulb is at fault go ahead and change bulbs at both rear sides..Do not try to repair signal switch because of air bag..If you can hold down on the turn signal switch and it works the switch is at fault...
Check the ground wire first, it's the brown wire and several of them join on a tab that is bolted somewhere in the trunk. Check under the bolt for corrosion. Clean and re-attach.
It has four. The first two are called the pre-cat (catalyst) or hot side. They are located under the hood on the left side (when standing at the front looking at the motor) on the exhaust manifold. The other two or called the post-cat or cold side. They are in the exhaust pipes coming down from the motor under the car at the passenger side. Replace them with genuine Bmw parts. They are more expensive but you won't have any issues. A lot of problems come from aftermarket sensors because the calibrations aren't the exact same.
The location of the battery in the BMW 525i series is under the back seat on the
passengers side. To access the battery, grab under the front portion of the
back seat and pull upward with some force. There are two slips into
which the seat is secured. One on the passenger side and one on the
drivers side, again in the front of the back seat. There is not one in
the center.
Passenger side rear quarter panel in the trunk (yeah, in the trunk, believe it or not). Look under the pass side tail light in the trunk you'll see the two screws holding down the cover.
