Can't necessarliy automatically blame the water pump, check entire cooling system related components , check air flow through radiator and condensor, often overlooked and plugged with bugs and road debris, check all hoses for condition especially for a collasped bottom hose due to your opening system to R&R thermostat... you may have to bleed air from your system ... check coolant condition for specific gravity.. clogged internally radiator, check flow with cap off engine cold pressure relieved watch flow to see when thermostat is opening... should have increased contant flow. check belts for proper tension and condition.

Overheating cooling runs into reservior 02 civic

I have ran into this problem before the heater system flows around the thermostat keeping it closed . Check heater valve in closed position that the outward hose is cold. Honda engineers think that you do not need the thermostat to open during winter operation. This allows the car to get interior heat faster.

After so many over heats.a car sometimes cant handle.
after constant over heating your cars rubber gaskets could have gone bad and turned brittle letting in oil into spark plug well #1
for your spark plug problem i would recommend changing your valve cover gaskets.
and for the over heating and not turning on.
i believe you blew a head gasket.

Why is my honda hesistaing

simply add a can of SEAFOAM(parts store) to a 1/2 tank of Premium gas, and let it idle for 5 minutes. You've got water and corn by product in your lines from the ethanol gas. Common problem now EGS(ethanol gas syndrome). Give it a chance to work.

1994 Honda Civic LX\overheating within 2 mile drive

Remove and raise upper hose at thermostat end and remove lower rad hose.
Fill rad with a hose and watch for flow from bottom rad hose and/ or bottom rad hose connecton.......water should fall though rad easily.
Honda rads are cheap.....any restriction....replace rad.

Remove thermostat....fill thermostat housing with hose and watch for water flow at bottom rad hose.
Flush good.

Remove heater hoses.......flush back and forth until a good flow is present "With heater control set to hot" if no or poor flow....replace heater core.

Stop leak can plug everything.

Also.......not likely causing over heating....but ....at your mileage,if you do not know if the timing belt has been changed.....CHANGE IT NOW!
Water pump is optional at this mileage.
