I bought a new window from glass shop then bought new regulator and motor online. Regulator fit fine, but window goes in wrong direction and will not go up all the way. The back side is a little lower than the front. Any thoughts? I checked the part # and it is passenger side part.

The driver side window wont come up

Can be lots of things. If you don't open the door, to see what god on, you won't find out. Could be from a loose screw, to a broken gear or some other things. You have the car close bye an you can look in it. We have to guess. Most guesses will be wrong, an anyway if you want to solve the problem, you have to open the door anyway. Or just bring it to a repaire shop.

Driver side power window does not operate.

either the switch or the regulator has failed. the driver's door goes first as it gets the most use. the motor is generally the culprit. you can get a new window regulator on eBay or at a parts store, get the whole regulator not just a new lift motor. take it to an auto glass shop and they can install it for you. believe me if you ever tried to replace one you would gladly pay someone who knows what they are doing 50 bucks to do it the next time. there are special tools and fasteners needed.

Motor works switch works window wont go up or down

then either your window has become disconnected from the rail on the regulator or the regulator gearing has stripped. Stay away from the dealer. If you can move the window up and down with your hands, then the glass is floating free and will be a cheap repair at an auto glass shop. If the regulator is stripped, then get a new on on ebay and have an auto glass shop install it for you. For a car that old I would just go ahead and get a new regulator and have them install it for you. 10 years service is more than you can ask for in a window regulator.

How do you replace the regulator for the power window on the 2002 ford explorer

Regulator - Power Windows - Front Door
  1. Remove the front door trim panel as follows:
    1. Remove the front door handle bezel.
    2. Remove the front door window/lock control switch bezel.
    3. Disconnect the window/lock control switch electrical connectors.
    4. Remove the 3 front door trim panel screws.
CAUTION To avoid damaging the trim panel, do not pull directly outward to carry out this step.
    5. Lift the door trim panel by pulling directly upward on the armrest to disengage the panel clips.
    6. Remove the exterior mirror control switch from the front door trim panel.
  2. Remove the front door speaker.
  3. Remove the interior molding.

How do I install a new windows motor- to include the cable drum (drivers side). The old motor burned up and the cable broke. Thanks Hans

You'll need to buy a new motor and regulator. You can go used or new, it's up to you. The regulator will include the cable.

- Remove the interior door trim,
- Disconnect the power cable from the window motor,
- Remove the window bump-stops (one at the front, one back),
- Remove the glass window from the regulator (two bolts),
- Slide the glass window out of the top of the door,
- Remove 3 nuts from the window motor,
- Remove all window regulator bolts,
- Slide the motor & regulator assembly out the top of the door.

- Mount your new motor to your new regulator,
- Install the new motor & regulator assembly in the reverse order.

FRONT LEFT WINDOW DOES NOT OPERATE

i would say it is the regulator (so have a new one/or good replacement), and it will come out of the openings. once you have the bolts removed for the regulator the window should come down to a place you can remove the bolts that attach it to the regulator. After the window is unbolted side it back up and tape it up and out of the way. you will need to likly use the old motor on the new part but it just bolts to the regulator. Once you have the moter on install it in the door. Good luck
