SOURCE: where is my fuel filter 2001 nissan altima

Most of the time there is an inlet screen/filter in fuel tank attached to fuel pump. But there should be another filter between tank and fuel rail. it should be located on the firewall, so if you work backward from an injector toward the gas tank you will bump right in to the filter along the way.

SOURCE: I need to know how

I really hope you know what you're getting into.....Big & detailed job. I went on and posted the instructions as far as removal and installation of the timing chain. There is a whole other section that you need as far as removing the oil pan and strainer but way to much to post on here at this point. Anyhow, it's a 2 piece oil pan and just to let you know alot of the parts like the timing chain cover, oil pan, the cover on the timing chain cover does not have gaskets and Nissan doesn't either. You have to use some RTV and don't go cheap, get the good stuff because all the work that is involved in this you don't want to have to repeat because of a leak. Also the oil pump is in the timing chain cover and Nissan has had some problems in the past with them. I would suggest going online and finding a new oil pump that comes pre-installed in a new timing chain cover. You can pick the whole assembly including the cover for about $150.00 and worth it. Wish you were here I have one ready to go. Anyhow, email me at [email protected] and what I can do is send you the engine management section of my service manual in a PDF so you have the info on the oil pan removal.....You need it. It will also have all the stuff I am posting below so you can make it big enough to see or even print out if need be and no there isn't a cost for it. I'm in a good mood....lol. I hope this helps. Here is the timing chain instructions for you.

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan altima alternator

The alternator is right on top of the 2.5L motor and held on by 2 14mm bolts. To remove the lower bolt (hard to reach), you must remove the coolant bottle and the IPDM fuse board and its metal box/bracket. A breaker bar really helped give enough torque to loosen the bolts. Approach the drive belt from under the front passenger tire. There is a tension adjuster (hard to reach) bolt that loosens the belt and allows you to remove it from the alternator.

A car when overheats means two things: (1) Timing may be off including electrical (2) bad head gasket. Chec for code reading with a OBDII reader to be more .

How many termostats does a 2003 nissan altima have and how easy to fix.

There is one thermostat for coolant and it is located at the end of top radiator hose inside the kneck that it connects to. To replace this the hose has to be removed and then the kneck, thermostat is brass colored valve that covers center of hole, clean old gasket from block side and kneck replace with new one and gasket with a bit of rtv sealant tighten kneck evenly when putting it back on,connect hose wait a short while for rtv to set up and should be good to go,"make sure engine is full of coolant b4 reassembling, just pour strait in engine if it isn't or you can damage new thermostat.overheating can also be sign of water pump not working as well so if still having problem then it is possible cause and on older models radiators get clogged.
