I have a 2003 350z and ive recently fix the suspension. i replaced an arm control from both front and rear of the driver side. i took it for a test drive and turns out i still cant drive over 30mph the faster i go the more the car slips.if i turn to the right car feels like it drifts.I dont know what else it could be.what should i even be looking for? any info i can get or some advice/tips on what i can do i would apreciate it lots. thanks
Instead of you fixing what probably is not broke , take it to a front end specialist for a proper diagnosis of the problem
to start with , having replace only one side is a problem in itself as that will alter the rear end alignment
after that is done , get a front end alignment
good practice is what ever is wrong on one side will be the same on the other side
Testimonial: "please forgive me i believe i left out a few more details and i wasnt more specific with my issue. Im not a fool, actually fyi as a female that i am ive managed to do most of the repairs on some of my cars.So im not trying to fix something that is not broken. Yeah ok im not a pro but im not an ignorant either. I did replaced and fixed both sides By myself changed bushings, ball joints, upper and lower control arms etc etc i also did alignment on car(took it to a profesional) i took it to someone else whos also a pro and said the wheels were fine, which they're not.I was just asking for some advice to maybe get an idea of what it can possibly be since im going thru some financial issues (not that its anyones buisness) and im not able to pay for a specialist to fix it.but thanks anyways i guess."
in your original statement you did specify repairs to only one side of the car quote "i replaced an arm control from both front and rear of the driver side"
So from that what are we expected to conclude
did the wheel aligner specialist do the rear end first as any professional knows that you start at the back to align the front and what "pro" would inform you that the wheels are fine , when in your considered opinion they are not
Fine that you try to do the work your self and stop this "I'm a poor female rubbish" as it only accentuates the fact that you really do not know what you are doing and am not prepared to accept advice offered on your very poor description of the problem

This is most likly a low RR tire. Check the tire pressure first. If that is OK, I would slowly drive to somone qualified to examine the rear suspention to see what might have broken.
good luck

This sounds like there is something worn in the steering. If it is a rack & Pinion steering the rack could be worn out. It could also be the CV joints to the front hubs. Regardless it does not sound safe. Take it to an independent mechanic, NOT THE DEALER, and have it inspected. There typically is not charge to inspect/identify the problem.

Hey JunkMail,
Look at that Blazer in my avatar. It's been slightly modified. And it has given me much unwanted yet valuable experience in steering issues.
If your vehicle has been raised or even has larger than the original tires, the play in the steering is multiplied by each modified component.
Even if it is stock, the observations and advice submitted by Jim are EXACTLY right. On an issue like this where personal safety is a factor, have the steering looked at by a pro.
BTW, a slight misalignment on that Blazer before taking it to a show (couple hundred miles away) cost me $700. My brand new two front 42" Super Swampers were nearly bald when I got back.
Every modified component amplifies any errors in engineering.
Good luck sir, be safe.

In a lot of GM and Chevys the intermediate steering link will lose grease and cause a clunk-like feeling while turning and braking. There is a TSB for such a problem. The dealer may still warranty the repair. You can take your truck into a local shop and they'll shake down the front end for about 1/2 hour labor to see if anything is wrong. About 80% of the time a pull is caused by a lateral tire pull or even a bad tire. Check your air pressures as well.
