I have 3 black, 1 tan, 1 gray wireing from ceiling. I have a wall switch that controls 2 ceiling fans in a mobile home . i want to connect a new ceiling fan that has 1 black, 1 white, 1 blue wireing.

The gray tan and the other wires usually have plug on the end and the plug into the fan unit when it's put together . The part the mounts to the ceiling should be blue black and white

We have a turn of the century ceiling fan/light 52in Viente, we have it connected and the light works but not the fan. There isn't any noise from the fan motor at all. We have wiring connected as...

It is probably in the switch wiring. the switch is probably the issue as it is probably 3 way. Check the switch if no problem then the motor is probably shot.

Ceiling fan runs slow on highest setting. Or not a all on lower settings. Motor hums so it is try ing to work.

Sounds like something is binding. If you have full voltage on the fan and you can't find the source of what is binding, you will have to replace it.
