SOURCE: problem with ford explorer alarm imobiliser

You should have a switch under the dash and then just turn it to the off position. If you don't or it doesn't work (like mine) then, there is 2 fuses under the dash, put the key in the ignition and turn it forward, pull one of the fuses out and then start the car that should reset it. Then you should be able to put the fuse back. Sometimes if you put the fuse back before starting it the alarm will just continue to try and reset itself, but not start the car. If that doesn't work I have a mechanic who can pull the whole alarm out and when hes done it would look like nothing has ever been installed. Hes very good. I ended having him take my alarm out when I had the same incident happen after the 2nd time.

SOURCE: imobiliser problem

If im not mistaken, your car should have an alarm reset/override.Below the steering column,on the dash should be a slot where you put your remote transmitter to deactivate the alarm. If that works, you then need to have your remote checked and coded by a vw dealer.Good luck.

I've got a Mitsubishi outlander 04plate and I've lost the imobiliser fob but I still have the key. How do I remove it from my car so I can start it?

your anti theft device is activated, you need to lock and unlock your doors a couple times with the key fob,not the key,and then you need to put the key in the ignition and start it,if you dont have your key fob, call your car dealer to get a new one, they are programmed for each car only, you cannot bypass it.

My car wont start there is a picture of a car with what looks like a key underneath at 12o'clock on the dash board what does this mean

This means that the imobiliser is currently on. Check your operators handbook for instructions and check that the key fob baterries are good.

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee will start then immediately die. I've replaced the Crankshaft sensor, ignition coil, fuel filter, battery, new plugs and wires, new cap and rotor, tried swapping the fuel pump...

Try the M A P sensor. I had a jeep that did the same thing. It would start up and run for maybe the count of two and shut off. It was the map sensor. If I remember correctly it measures humidity and barometric pressure and stuff like that to tell the computer how to mix the air and fuel ratio.

Warning message: ''remote control battery low''

hi, this message is warning you that the battery in the key fob is going flat if this battery goes totally flat you wont be able to start your car as its this signal from the key fob that turns the imobiliser off so with out this fob your car wont start so its best you get the battery changed sooner rather than later.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Wont start. Battery is fully charged.

hi, now this could be down to one of two things now the first and most likely would be that the starter motor has packed up so this would need replacing.

Now the other problem you could have is with the imobiliser now the problem you have with this is their is nothing you can do yourself to even check this it has to go to a garage and go on a diagnostics check so as they can find out if the imobiliser is working or not.
The main cause for the imobiliser not working is going to be that the battery is flat in the key fob witch controls the central locking if this is flat then your car wont start.

2004 Isuzu Axiom with 29000 miles on it. The key fob fell apart and out fell the insides-so I've been using the key without the remote. Sometimes if I open any other door than the driver door the vehicle...

If it was factory fitted You will have to contact isuzu with the V.I.N. and proof of ownership they will get a new fob for you. If it's after market then you can either get a new fob and get it programed or get the imobiliser disabled
