Where do you put water in the water pump on a 2002 alero?

Well you must put the water in the radiator or deposit for water that your car has instead of the water pump, the water pump is an internal part bolted in the engine that has a pulley that makes circulate the water inside the engine.

Water pump

Hello drain the water from the radiator by removing the hose from the radiator to the water pump, after having taken out the hoses, then unscrew the bolts that hold the water pump. After having taken the pump, clean the surface where the pump is fitted on the engine. Now when putting, the new pump, put a clear layer of silicone gasket on the surface where the pump will fit to prevent leakage, now you screw the bolt to the same torque, then after put the hose back like it was before, fill your radiator ,do not put the cap now, because of an air lock in the water circuit, start the engine, you will see the water level lower, fill it to its level, then put the radiator cap.Hope that help you in changing the pump, good luck

I am putting in a new shower and want to put in a pump to increase the flow of water to the shower head, what pump do I need? I will put it next to the hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard,I also want...

First of all, the normal water pressure is anywhere from 50 to 70 lbs. Why do you need a pump? What you need is just water pressure. The shower head will only put out a fraction of that pressure with the valve body inside the head. Since you do not say what water pressure you have, check all the pressure lines to make sure there is no blockage. As for the water tank, well, 50 gallons is always better.

Water pump

buy a new water pump, remove the radiator, remove the hose from the pump, remove the bolts that holds the pump, remove the old pump.

put the new gasket in the pump, dont forget to put a little bit of grease just to hold the gasket inplace. put the new pump, use the old bolts from where they are taken ( sometimes they are not of equal length ). if you have a torque wrench then use it to tighten the bolts with equal amounts of torque. put the hose back, put the radiator back, put water in the radiator, run the engine and look for some leaks at the new pump.

i hope i did it..

tnx, drcool
