Hi,could u tell me where in Vw Caravelle microbus t3 is ecu located.

first make sure your fluid level is correct, when car is cooled down, take off radiater cap and sqeeze the radiater hoses several times to get any air bubbles out. fill with coolant if it drops down at all. second, make sure your coolant mixture is correct. they sell little testers very cheap in walmart or any autoparts store. third, it might be your thermostat if the other two aren't the problem.

You must remove the bottom rubber hose from the radiator, and also the upper hose. Extract the radiator out or simply flush the radiator in reverse direction of water flow. If the radiator is clogged you can try to clean inside (chemically) or replace it. Flush the cooling system in reverse direction of water flow. Refit all in reverse order and after that purge air out of cooling system.

You can try to adjust the clutch cable if it has a cable, if its hydrualyic clutch then i would say theres a problem with the clutch plate or preasure plate, but first check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder if its low then you may have a leak, most of the time its the slave cylinder or master that leak, the master is what the clutch pedal pushes which inturn send fluid to the slave cylinder at the trany which pushes the cltuch fork,so start by seeing if its hydraulic which i think it is. then fluid check if low check for leaks.

SOURCE: have a 2.5 t3 microbus vw driving 4 20 minutes it starts to jerk& smokes black, it clears & drives fine but reoccurs replaced fueldistributor,relay,pump&filter no change. What could the problem be?

possible cure would be to put petrol through and clear a sludge that's built up. run the engine for 10 mins on tick over. failing that check timing. ex recon engineer. retired
