My chevrolet aveo won't intermittently move from 2nd to 3rd or 4th gear, and have to reduce speed and move back down to 2nd and try again ....notice it more if trying to move up the gears quickly

This transmission is electronically shifted via solenoids controlled by a computer, so you need to have that tested for fault codes that may be in memory.

Good battery. Turn key and jusy get one click sound and nothing else.2005 Chevy Aveo

if the ' battery is good ' then it sounds like a bad starter solenoid. you can use a volt meter and see if voltage is going thru the solenoid to the starter. ( also while using the meter at the solenoid,, make sure it is infact showing a solid 12+ volts ), something could be draining the power down in that circuit.

Where is the starter solonoid located 04 aveo

You will need to verify if the starter solenoid is getting power when you are attempting to crank it. I dont have a diagram, but the clutch switch may be the problem if you must depress the clutch to start the engine.
