Line up the key on the crankshaft with the little arrow/ marker thing on the front of the engine, just above the crank pulley. Turn the camshaft so that both valves on #1 are in the closed position, or, up, all the way.line the mark on the camshaft with the little dent thing on the top of the camshaft seal cover. Put your belt on and be careful not to move the cam or crank. After you get it installed, turn the engine over with a socket 2 complete revolutions, until the marks are both up again. If they aren't still exactly lined up the way they were, you are out a cog, and will have to do it again. This needs to be exact. After you get it, install everything and adjust the distributor timing. Good luck.
